My girls weekend is over. Today we’re driving back home. Actually my sister is driving while I’m sitting in the back seat typing and hoping my iPhone hotspot stays on long enough for me to post this.

We had a great time hitting the outlet malls. We didn’t buy much but it’s always fun to look. My husband will ask why we drove five hours to purchase Pyrex. It’s more about spending time with my mom and sister rather than the Pyrex.

It’s also about the cake. We split a giant piece of carrot cake every evening. And no it didn’t contain dragonbane so we’re all still alive and well and possibly a few pounds heavier.

We spent several hours sitting on the patio just looking out over the lake. I’m amazed at the lack of humidity in Branson. Where I’m from if it’s ninety degrees outside the 95% humidity makes you feel like you’re trying to breath through a wet wash cloth. And while my back yard is nice, it can’t compete with this view.

So it’s back to the real world. I’m anxious to see my husband and my furry beasts. What are your plans for this summer?
