Things I learned in Las Vegas.
- All the hallways in the hotels in Las Vegas look like the never-ending hallway of your nightmares. aka The Shining
- Due to the afore-mentioned hallways, no matter what type of shoes/outfits you take, you will end up wearing shoes that resemble these.
3. Other people, like author Lisa Brown Roberts will give you shoe envy.
4. There is no such thing as simple food in Las Vegas. While I did not indulge in these I witnessed people trying to eat the leaning tower of nachos at Burro Borracho.
5. It’s impossible to take a selfie in a hotel room at night where you capture the outside lights, as witnessed by this photo of Kerri Thompson and I.
6. The hotel owners in Las Vegas are evil because they don’t put coffee makers in the rooms. Acquiring coffee comes at the cost of standing in a line at Starbucks for half an hour. And this is what I look like while I am waiting.
Overall, I had a great time, meeting and talking with other authors, book buyers, publishers and editors in Vegas. But next year I’m taking my own Keurig.
