My husband was a little concerned for me, since Bridges Burned (Book 2 in the Going Down In Flames series) came out on Monday.
Apparently, I acted a bit manic when Going Down In Flames came out last June. Something about hitting refresh over and over again to check for reviews on Amazon and Goodreads and freaking out when people didn’t love my dragons. I have a vague memory of this. LOL. But I told him he didn’t need to worry this time because I’ve grown a thicker skin.
I realize not everyone will love my dragons. And while that sucks, I can live with it. Am I still hitting refresh checking for reviews whenever I have a spare minute? Yes, but in a less compulsive manner. Am I reading every review? I wish I could say no. Other authors tell me they don’t read reviews. They just look at stars. I think if someone took the time to write a review I should read it. Even if the person gave me two stars because “the book wasn’t realistic”-Hello?—It’s about dragons.
Anyway I just want to say thank you to the people who take the time to read and review Bridges Burned and Going Down In Flames. Sharing my dragons with the world has been a fabulous, and sometimes freak-out inducing experience.
